Each year on the birth date of Hiphop, August 11th, Arian Nicole Music LLC, The Phoenix LOC and Grassrootz Bookstore hosts a 2 day celebration of Hip Hop culture.
This event will be hosted inside and outside of Grassrootz Bookstore located within Afrisoul Marketplace in the historic EastLake Park District. The theme is of this year’s festival is Take Back the Village and is inclusive of numerous black and indigenous owned businesses and community organizations in support of the movement to mobilize our communities for the better.
The Grassrootz Hip-hop Celebration was established to provide a platform for conscious artists and preserve the roots and foundation of hip hop culture for the next generation.
